Mia Haldursdóttir Smith is a 29 year old, graphic designer and artist from the Faroe Islands.
She started out drawing women in everyday situations on her Instagram – women showering, shaving their legs etc. to show women as human beings, instead of just sexual objects.
In her illustrations, she focuses on subjects like anxiety, depression, menstrual pain, endometriosis (and similar illnesses), same-sex relationships, self-love, slut shaming, sexual harassment and how our surroundings (e.g. the social media) have such high standards of beauty, that some women try to live up to.
