Lív María Róadóttir Jæger

Lív Maria Róadóttir Jæger (born in 1981) is a poet, she lives in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands, with her husband, Lasse, and their daughter, Unn Sofía.
Lív published the poem recording Mítt navn við hondskrift in 2014, and her first poetry collection, Hvít sól in 2015. In 2020 she published the poetry collection Eg skrivi á vátt pappír (Forlagið Eksil), which was awarded the Faroese M.A. Jacobsen Literature Prize 2020 and also nominated for the Nordic Council Literature Prize 2021. Eg skrivi á vátt pappír has been translated into Danish and was published by Batzer & co, and it is also being translated into French and will be published by Éditions du Noroît in 2023.

Lív holds an MA in Philosophy from the University of Copenhagen, and she works at the University of the Faroe Islands, the Creative Arts Programme.
