Daisy er þverfagleg listakona sem fléttar saman prentmyndagerð, myndskreytingum og hreyfimyndum á gamansaman hátt og setur út á pólitísk og samfélagsleg málefni til að vekja athygli á og vinna gegn fordómum. Daisy tekur á efnum eins og kyni, kynþætti, stétt og samtvinnun mismunabreyta ( e. intersectionality) á samfélagsmiðlum og sýningum. Daisy er ein helsta baráttukona „period poverty” í Bretlandi, þar sem hún m.a. notaði hluta námsláns síns til að útvega ókeypis tíðarvörur fyrir háskólann í UWE. Daisy er fyrirlesari um „period poverty” og „sex-positive” femínisma á viðburðum á vegum BBC Radio, Verkamannaflokkinn (e. The Labour Party), háskólana í Manchester og Bristol og á pallborðsumræðum. Daisy er jafnframt myndskreytari fyrir Verkamannaflokkinn þar sem hún hefur hún hefur m.a. birst í „Labour Party Graphic Design Art Pack” fyrir flokkinn og verið birt á samfélagsmiðlum á þeirra vegum.

Daisy Wakefield is a multidisciplinary artist intertwining printmaking, illustration and animation to humorously commentate on political and societal issues to reduce stigma. Daisy tackles topics such as; gender, race, class and intersectionality through commissions, social media and public exhibitions.
Daisy is one of the UK’s leading Period Poverty activists where she used a portion of her student loan to supply free sanitary products at her University of UWE.
Daisy is a regular public speaker for Period Poverty and sex-positive education at events such as; BBC Radio, The Labour Party, Manchester & Bristol University and panel discussions.
Daisy Wakefield is a regular artist for The Labour Party, where she has been featured in the Labour Party Graphic Design Art Pack and features on their social media platforms during campaigns.
