Hennar Rödd: Stories of Women of Foreign Origin in Iceland is a pioneering piece of book, that honours the contributions of women of foreign origin to Icelandic society. The book contains the stories of 33 women who have enriched Icelandic society in one way or another and reflect the diversity of women of foreign origin in Iceland. The stories cover the challenges they have faced due to the lack of inclusion in Icelandic society, as well as narratives of beautiful life experiences of moving to a new country, learning a new language, and even raising families in Iceland.
The editors of the book are Elinóra Guðmundsdóttir, Chanel Björk Sturludóttir, and Elínborg Kolbeinsdóttir.
